Mac-Gray Announces Contest Encouraging Students to Be Clean and Green in the Laundry Room.

October 21, 2010

Mac-Gray Campus Solutions continues on the path of educating students on environmentally friendly behavior with “Be Clean. Be Green. Be Creative.” t-shirt design contest.

Mac-Gray Campus Solutions, the leader in campus laundry services, announced last week that it would be running a t-shirt design contest for all college students promoting clean and green behavior in the laundry room. The contest: “Be Clean. Be Green. Be Creative.” will run through November 16th, 2010 with the results announced on November 18th. One winner will receive $500 and have his or her t-shirt distributed on campus, while the top ten finalists will have their work displayed on the Campus Clothes Line™--Mac-Gray’s online student portal.

Contest guidelines state that students must create an illustration or design incorporating clean and green behavior in the laundry room—from washing clothes using the cold water cycle or using high-efficiency detergent. Submissions will be uploaded online via the contest landing page. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of three judges including Paul Rowland (Executive Director, AASHE), Slate Donaldson (Art Director – Publicis Groupe) and Erin Terry (Art Director, Erin Terry Design).

In recent years, Mac-Gray has made a priority to educate students on how to be environmentally conscious in the laundry room, along with learning laundry basics.
